Changingbulbs
Bulbs andlights are an important aspectof
vehicle safety. You must therefore make
sure that all the bulbs are in good working
order at all times.
Before changing bulbs
! Only use bulbsofthe types given here.
! To avoid ashort-circuit, switch off the
headlamps before changing abulb.
! Onlyholdbulbs with aclean, lint-free
cloth.
! Do notworkwithwet or greasy fingers.
! If the new bulbdoes not light up, visit
aqualified specialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-BenzService Centre.
! Have the followingbulbs replaced at
aqualified specialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-BenzService Centre:
! The high-mounted brake lamp
! The blackout tail lamps
i Have theheadlampsettingchecked regular-
ly at aqualifiedspecialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-BenzServiceCentre.

Bulbs andlights can become very hot. You
should therefore allow them to cool down
before youchange them. Youcould other-
wiseburnyourselfwhen youtouch them.
Keepbulbs outofthe reachofchildren. They
could otherwise damage thebulb and injure
themselves.
Never use abulbwhich hasbeen dropped.
Such abulbmay explode and injureyou.
