4. Before installing spark plugs, clean off any dirt on the spark
plug seats. Install plugs finger tight, and then tighten 1/4 turn
or torque to specifications.

Lubrication Points
Only let an authorized Mercury service shop perform service or
maintenance on this product. Be sure to use genuine parts,
genuine lubricants, or recommended lubricants.
Changing gear oil
1. Place the outboard in a vertical operating position.
2. Place a drain pan below the outboard.
3. Remove the oil plugs (upper and lower) and drain the gear oil
completely.
