NOTICE
Without sufficient cooling water, the engine, the water pump, and other
components will overheat and suffer damage. Provide a sufficient supply of
water to the water inlets during operation.
1. Lower the outboard to the vertical operating position. Make sure all
cooling water intake holes are submerged.

2. Open fuel tank vent screw (in filler cap) on manual venting type fuel tanks.

3. Connect the fuel line to the outboard.

4. Squeeze the fuel line primer bulb several times until it feels firm.

NOTE: The engine will not start unless the lanyard is set to the RUN position.
