Propellers
REMOVAL
IMPORTANT: Propellers used on this product require the Mercury
Marine Flo‑Torq III type hub or equivalent.

WARNING
Rotating propellers can cause serious injury or death. Never
operate the boat out of the water with a propeller installed. Before
installing or removing a propeller, place the drive unit in neutral
and disable the ignition system by removing the keys from the
ignition (if equipped) and engaging the lanyard stop switch to
prevent the engine from starting.
1. Shift the outboard to the neutral ("N") position.

IMPORTANT: Refer to Spark Plug Inspection and Replacement
for removing spark plug leads.
2. Remove the spark plug leads to prevent the engine from
starting.
