Open engine hatch. Observe all gauges to
check condition of
engine. If not normal,
stop engine.
Observe all gauges to
monitor engine
condition. If not
normal, stop engine.
Turn ignition key off.
Check engine oil level. Check for fuel, oil,
water, fluid and
exhaust leaks, ect.
Turn battery switch
OFF (if so equipped).
Turn battery switch ON
(if so equipped).
Check shift and throttle
control operation.
Close fuel valve (if so
equipped).
Operate bilge blowers
(if so equipped).
Check steering
operation.
Close seacock (if so
equipped).
Open fuel shutoff valve
(if so equipped).
Flush cooling system
(if in saltwater area).
