V-belt section = Standard 8V belt
Span length (center distance) = 3226 mm (127")
Deflection force (from Table 2-6) = 13.6 Kg.

Deflection = 3226 mm (127") x 0.016 = 51.5 mm
(2.03")
Therefore, on a NEW installation with a standard
8V section belt and a span length of 3226 mm
(127"), the belt should deflect 51.5 mm (2.03") with
a spring force of 13.6 Kg. (30 lbs.) for a properly
tensioned drive.
