Overview

The FA series electronic balance scale is a new generation of high-performance measuring instruments developed by our company. It utilizes a high-precision electromagnetic force balance sensor, which significantly enhances the reliability of the balance. The device features tactile feedback buttons to ensure accurate and effective operation. Designed with a fully transparent sealed cover, it boasts an aesthetic appearance and user-friendly interface. This balance is versatile and can be widely applied in various sectors such as industry, agriculture, commerce, schools, and scientific research for the rapid determination of the quality and quantity of objects.

Usage Features:

The FA series electronic balance is designed for ease of use and offers several intelligent features. Before operation, it is crucial to place the balance horizontally and adjust the feet until the bubble is centered. Tapping the 'ON' key quickly turns on the display. The internal calibration balance will automatically warm up for 30 minutes after power on, a process that can be skipped by pressing the 'TAR' key to directly enter the working state.

Calibration is a key aspect of maintaining accuracy. The FA series electronic balance operates on the 'electronic magnetic balance principle,' where gravity can significantly impact its accuracy. Due to varying gravitational forces in different geographic regions, calibration is essential to eliminate errors. This is particularly important when using a newly purchased balance for the first time or after moving it to a new location. The calibration process involves preheating the balance for 2 hours. For example, with an FA2004 model, after weighing no-load, press the 'TAR' key until the display shows 0.000g. Then, press the 'CAL' key, and 'CAL-100' will flash. Place a 100g calibration weight on the plate and wait for the display to change to '100.0000g'. The calibration is then complete, and the balance is ready for weighing. If an internal calibration weight is used, the balance will preheat for 30 minutes after power on. Users can skip this by pressing the 'TAR' key and then the 'CAL' key until the display shows '0.0000'. For other calibration weights, press 'CAL' first, then 'ON' and 'CAL' simultaneously after the value returns to zero. Place the corresponding weight, remove it to return to zero, and press 'CAL' again to weigh.

The balance offers fast weighing speeds, surpassing average mechanical balances, with adjustable speed settings. It is highly intelligent, capable of displaying tare, zero, overload, and underload conditions across its full range. The software system provides users with the flexibility to select from a wide range of internationally recognized mass units. To convert mass units, press and hold the 'FUNC' key in the power-on state. 'UNIT-1' displays 'g', 'UNIT-2' displays 'CT', 'UNIT-3' displays 'OZ', and 'UNIT-4' displays 'mg'. Releasing the key on the desired unit selects it.

The FA series also includes a counting function. To activate this, press 'FUNC' while the balance is on and 'SET-0' is displayed. Then, press 'ON'. To return to weighing mode, select 'UNT-0'. For counting, select 'UNT-1', place 10 pieces on the weighing plate, and press 'CAL'. Once '10' is displayed after stabilization, the counting operation begins. Options for counting 25 pieces ('UNT-2') or using 50 pieces as an average ('UNT-3') are also available.

Data output settings allow for continuous output (FUNC-4), press output (FUNC-0), or timed "one minute" output (FUNC-1). The built-in RS232C interface enables connection to computers, printers, and other external devices for printing or inputting weighing data. The serial connection uses a nine-core setup, with specific pin assignments for RXD, TXD, and GND. The balance serial port baud rate is 1200 BPS, with a data format of 10 bits (start bit (0), 8 data bits (ASCII code, low bit in front), and a stop bit (1)), and no parity. The output mode can be changed: FUN-0 for continuous output, FUN-1 for press output (one data output per 'FUN' key press), and FUN-2 for timing output.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance is crucial for the FA series electronic balance, as it is a precision mechatronics intelligent measuring instrument. It should be handled with the same care as other precision instruments.

Users should avoid using sharp objects like pencils or ballpoint pens to press the keys; only fingers should be used. Care must be taken to prevent objects from falling onto the weighing pan from a height, as this can damage the weighing mechanism. The balance should not be exposed to high humidity or dusty environments for extended periods. After use, it is best to cover the balance with a protective cover to prevent dust intrusion. Maintaining a clean and dry balance is essential.

When cleaning the instrument, always unplug the power supply first. Corrosive cleaning agents or solvents should not be used. Instead, a lint-free soft cloth dampened with water and a neutral detergent is recommended. During cleaning, care must be taken to prevent water from dripping into the balance. After cleaning, the balance should be carefully wiped with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

In case of malfunction, a troubleshooting guide is provided. If there is no display, check the power adapter and fuse. If the issue persists, contact the maintenance department. For unstable readings, improve the working conditions by avoiding vibration and airflow, closing the windshield, removing any foreign objects from between the scale pan and table, and ensuring the weighing pan rotates freely. If the displayed value differs from the actual value, recalibrate the balance, ensure it is tared to zero, and check if it is horizontal.

The packaging list includes the main scale, scale pan, adapter, operation instruction manual, wiping cloth, and gloves. Users are advised to keep the original packaging for potential returns or repairs.
