Ignition.
1,ittle instruction need be given on this subj'ect.
The High Tension distributor is very accessible. It is provided with a
greaser to lubricate the spindle, and only high melting point grease should
b,e
emp!oyed, one turn every thousand miles being suficient.
The contacts can b,e inspected by unclipping the two springs when the
cover carrying the High
Tension Leads can b,e removed. The ignition
timing should be set so that when
a
piston is on top dead centre the points
of the make and break just start to open with the distributor at full retard.
The points may require adjustment from time to time,
and a spanner is
provided with the Tool Kit for this purpose. The clearance between the
points should be
20/1000
of an inch.
