  • A minimum clearance of 12 inches (30cm) is needed above the oven.
  • Do not remove the legs from the bottom.
  • Ensure intake and/or outlet openings are not blocked.
  • Place the oven away from radios and TVs to avoid interference.
  • Plug into a standard household outlet with matching voltage and frequency.
  • Do not install over a range cooktop or other heat-producing appliances.

Grounding Instructions:

  • The appliance must be grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • It is equipped with a 3-wire cord and a grounding plug, which must be plugged into a properly installed and grounded outlet.
  • If an extension cord is necessary, use a 3-wire grounding-type cord with a rating equal to or greater than the appliance's electrical rating. The cord should be arranged to prevent snagging or tripping hazards.

Radio Interference:

  • If the oven causes radio or TV interference, try cleaning the door and sealing surfaces, reorienting the receiving antenna, relocating the oven, or plugging it into a different outlet on a separate branch circuit.

Utensils:

  • Only microwave-safe utensils should be used. Tightly-closed containers can explode.
  • To test a utensil: Place it with 1 cup of cold water in the oven and cook on maximum power for 1 minute. If the water is warm but the utensil is not, it is microwave-safe. Do not exceed 1 minute cooking time for this test.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • The cooking compartment and accessories (glass tray, turntable ring assembly) must be cleaned before first use and regularly thereafter.
  • For cleaning surfaces of the door and oven that come together when the door is closed, use only mild, non-abrasive soaps or detergents applied with a sponge or soft cloth.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting chart for common issues:

  • Oven will not start: Check if the electrical cord is plugged in, the door is closed, and the wrong operation is set.
  • Arcing or sparking: Ensure microwave-safe cookware is used, the oven is not operated when empty, and the cavity is clean.
  • Unevenly cooked foods: Use microwave-safe cookware, ensure food is defrosted completely, check cooking time and power level, and ensure food is turned or stirred.
  • Overcooked foods: Adjust cooking time and power level.
  • Undercooked foods: Use microwave-safe cookware, ensure food is defrosted completely, check oven ventilation ports, and adjust cooking time and power level.
  • Improper defrosting: Use microwave-safe cookware, check cooking time and power level, and ensure food is turned or stirred.

General Safety:

  • Do not attempt to operate the oven with the door open or if it is damaged.
  • Do not defeat or tamper with safety interlocks.
  • Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.

  • Servicing should only be performed by qualified service personnel.
  • Do not cover or block any openings.
  • Do not store outdoors or near water.
