- A minimum clearance of 12 inches (30cm) is needed above the oven.
- Do not remove the legs from the bottom.
- Ensure intake and/or outlet openings are not blocked.
- Place the oven away from radios and TVs to avoid interference.
- Plug into a standard household outlet with matching voltage and frequency.
- Do not install over a range cooktop or other heat-producing appliances.
Grounding Instructions:
- The appliance must be grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock.
- It is equipped with a 3-wire cord and a grounding plug, which must be plugged into a properly installed and grounded outlet.
- If an extension cord is necessary, use a 3-wire grounding-type cord with a rating equal to or greater than the appliance's electrical rating. The cord should be arranged to prevent snagging or tripping hazards.
Radio Interference:
- If the oven causes radio or TV interference, try cleaning the door and sealing surfaces, reorienting the receiving antenna, relocating the oven, or plugging it into a different outlet on a separate branch circuit.
Utensils:
- Only microwave-safe utensils should be used. Tightly-closed containers can explode.
- To test a utensil: Place it with 1 cup of cold water in the oven and cook on maximum power for 1 minute. If the water is warm but the utensil is not, it is microwave-safe. Do not exceed 1 minute cooking time for this test.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning:
- The cooking compartment and accessories (glass tray, turntable ring assembly) must be cleaned before first use and regularly thereafter.
- For cleaning surfaces of the door and oven that come together when the door is closed, use only mild, non-abrasive soaps or detergents applied with a sponge or soft cloth.
Troubleshooting:
The manual provides a troubleshooting chart for common issues:
