Function Description

The Ceramic Hob is a cooking appliance designed for modern families, featuring resistance wire heating, micro-computerized control, and multi-power selection. It offers safe and reliable performance, aiming to provide a comfortable cooking experience. The hob includes four cooking zones with varying power outputs: two 1200W zones and two 1800W zones. It is controlled via a touch-sensitive control panel.

Key functions include:

  • Cooking Zones: Four zones for various cooking needs.
  • ON/OFF Control: To power the hob on and off.
  • Power Regulating Controls: To adjust the heat setting for each cooking zone.
  • Keylock Control: To lock the controls, preventing unintended use, especially by children.
  • Timer Regulating Controls: For setting a minute minder or a cooking zone timer.
  • Over-Temperature Protection: A built-in sensor monitors the hob's internal temperature and automatically stops operation if it becomes excessive.
  • Residual Heat Warning: After use, a "H" indicator shows which cooking zones are hot to touch, serving as a safety warning and an energy-saving function for subsequent cooking.
  • Auto Shutdown: A safety feature that automatically turns off a cooking zone if it's left on for an extended period, with default shutdown times varying by power level (e.g., 8 hours for power levels 1-3, 4 hours for 4-6, and 2 hours for 7-9).

  • Lift pans off the hob; do not slide them to avoid scratching the glass.
  • Avoid cookware with jagged edges or curved bases.

Cooking Guidelines:

  • Reduce temperature settings once food boils.
  • Use a lid to reduce cooking times and save energy.
  • Minimize liquid or fat for shorter cooking times.
  • Start cooking on a high setting and reduce it once food is heated through.
  • Specific guidelines are provided for simmering, cooking rice, searing steak, and stir-frying, including recommended heat settings (1-9) for various tasks like warming, melting, simmering, reheating, cooking pancakes, sautéing, stir-frying, searing, and boiling.

Maintenance Features

Care and Cleaning:

  • Everyday Soiling (fingerprints, marks, non-sugary spills):
    1. Switch off the cooktop.
    2. Apply a cooktop cleaner while the glass is still warm (not hot).
    3. Rinse and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
    4. Switch the cooktop back on.
    • Important: Do not use heavy-duty scourers or harsh/abrasive cleaning agents as they may scratch the glass. Never leave cleaning residue on the cooktop to prevent staining.
  • Boilovers, Melts, and Hot Sugary Spills:
    1. Immediately remove with a fish slice, palette knife, or razor blade scraper (suitable for ceramic glass cooktops), being careful of hot cooking zones.
    2. Switch off the power at the wall.
    3. Hold the blade at a 30° angle and scrape the spill to a cool area.
    4. Clean the spill with a dishcloth or paper towel.
    5. Follow the steps for everyday soiling.
    • Important: Remove sugary spills as soon as possible to prevent permanent damage to the glass. Be extremely careful with razor-sharp scraper blades.

Installation Cautions:

  • Installation must be performed by qualified personnel or technicians.
