142 Troubleshooting
4.7 E8: Faulty outdoor unit address
The error will only display on faulty slave unit, all the ODUs will be on standby.
4.8 xE9: Driver model is mismatched (when X is 1, it refers to A system; 2 refers to B system)
E8: Faulty outdoor unit address
The ODU's address is more than 3 or
be set repeatedly
The addresses should be set less
than 3 and differently
Outdoor main PCB is damaged
Replace the outdoor main PCB
The communication wires H1, H2 and
E are short circuited or disconnected.
(measure the resistance between H1,
H2andE, if it is zero or very low, this is
indication of short circuiting; use a
multi-meter to test the communication
wires, if it doesn’t have belling sound,
this is indication of disconnecting)
Replace or reconnect the
communication wires
E9: Driver model is mismatched
Power on the outdoor unit immediately
after it is powered off
If the outdoor unit is powered off, the
unit should be powered on after the
digital tube is powered off
Outdoor main PCB is damaged
Replace the outdoor main PCB
