If the heating indicator light is on, but the water from your Midea Water Heater is cold, it could be that the thermal cut out is cut off or the heating elements are broken. First, check and troubleshoot, then press the reset handle of the thermal cut out. If that doesn't work, you may need to change the heating elements.

      Tracy JenkinsAug 17, 2025
If the heating indicator light is off and the water is cold, check a few things: * Ensure the “TEMP” knob is properly adjusted. * Adjust the water flow to ensure it's sufficient (more than 1.2L/min). * If those aren't the problem, the flow sensor of the rotor may be clogged with impurities. Try cleaning the rotor or changing the flow sensor. Note that a PCB error could also be the cause, requiring repair or replacement of the PCB.
