Usage Features

The water dispenser is designed for straightforward operation.

  • Installation: The dispenser should be placed upright on a flat surface, at least 20cm from a wall, ensuring ventilation openings are not obstructed. It must be connected to a properly grounded wall outlet. The manual emphasizes that the outlet must be connected to a ground wire before plugging in the power cord.
  • Water Bottle Installation: To install a water bottle, the label should be removed, and the bottle vertically inserted into the bottle supporter. It's crucial to ensure water runs out from the hot water tap before plugging in the power cord or activating the heating switch to prevent damage.
  • Activating Heating & Cooling: The unit will not dispense hot or cold water until the respective switches on the back are activated. Once the power cord is plugged in and the power switch is on, the cooling and heating pilot lamps will illuminate when their functions are active. The heating function takes approximately 15 minutes for the first use, while cooling takes about 2 hours.
  • Dispensing Water:
    • Cold Water: Position a container below the cold water tap and depress the button downward to start the flow. Release the button when the desired fill level is reached.
    • Hot Water: For hot water, a safety feature requires sliding a red switch left to the bottom before pushing the hot water button downward to start the flow. Release the button when the desired fill level is reached.
  • Safety: The manual highlights several safety instructions, including warnings against storing explosive substances, ensuring proper ventilation, and avoiding modifications to the appliance. It also warns about the risk of burns from hot water (approximately 85°C). The appliance must be fixed in accordance with instructions to avoid instability.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and safe operation of the water dispenser.

  • Power Disconnection: Always cut off the power supply and unplug the dispenser before any cleaning or maintenance operations.
  • Initial Cleaning: The machine is disinfected at the factory, but it's recommended to clean it prior to installing the first full bottle of water.
  • Cleaning and Draining:
    1. Ensure the power switch is off and the dispenser is unplugged.
    2. Insert a bottle into the supporter.
    3. Open the taps to let about 3 liters of water flow into a container.
    4. Remove the water bottle.
    5. Place a large bucket beneath the drain outlet, remove the drain cover, and allow water to drain.
    6. Replace the drain cover after draining.
  • Sanitizing: The machine should be disinfected with a suitable disinfectant according to its instructions, followed by cleaning with water. This process should generally be performed every three months.
  • Removing Mineral Deposits:
    1. Mix 4 liters of water with 200g citric acid crystals.
    2. Inject the mixture into the machine, ensuring it can flow out of the hot water tap.
    3. Switch on the power and heat for about 10 minutes.
    4. After 30 minutes, drain off the liquid and clean the machine with water two or three times. This process should be done every six months.
  • Professional Service: The manual advises against disassembling the machine by oneself to avoid damage or danger. For cleaning tubes or removing scale, professional institutions and operations are recommended, especially if hard water is used, which can lead to furring or damage to the hot pot or pipeline.
  • Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting section provides common problems, possible reasons, and solutions, such as waiting for water to become available, connecting the plug, replacing empty or broken bottles, cleaning the bottle supporter inlet, and ensuring a stable installation surface.
