Why is my Midland PACIFIC Transceiver reception broken or noisy?
    • D
      Danielle NortonJul 26, 2025
If you are experiencing broken or noisy reception on your Midland Transceiver, several factors could be the cause. The signal might be extremely weak, in which case you can temporarily deactivate squelch using the Monitor function. Your party may be too far away, or the transceiver antenna might be shielded by obstacles; try moving closer to your party or to a less shielded area. Other users might be using the same radio channel, so check the radio traffic and change channels if necessary. Also, the radio could be positioned too close to other interference devices like televisions or computers; move the radio away from these devices.

How to extend battery life on my Midland Transceiver?
    • V
      Victor GriffinAug 10, 2025
If you're experiencing short battery life with your Midland Transceiver, consider the following: excessive use of display backlighting drains the battery, so reduce its use. Similarly, excessive transmission also reduces battery life; try to reduce transmission times or use low transmission power. Finally, the memory effect might be occurring with the batteries; eliminate this effect to improve battery life.
