The radio will have an LCD for displaying user information as follows:

Indicates locked keypad. (PTT still active)
Indicates weather radio mode. Flashing if weather alert is

Modes of operation
The radio has 5 modes of operation when the unit is powered on.
1. Standby
In Standby Mode, the radio is monitoring the current selected channel and will switch to Receive
mode if activity is detected.
