Problem solving guide
With the aid of the following explana-
tory notes, minor faults can be cor-
rected without contacting the Miele Ser-
vice Department.
Any work on the electrical compo-
nents of the appliance should only
be carried out by a suitably quali-
fied and competent person in ac-
cordance with local and national
regulations. Unauthorised repairs
could be dangerous.
Faults/possible causes
The dishwasher does not start
The door is not properly closed.
The plug is not properly inserted.
The fuse is defective/has blown.
The dishes are not clean
The dishes are incorrectly loaded.
The wrong amount of detergent was
used.
The stopcock was not fully opened.
The water pressure is too low (too
little water in the wash cabinet) see
chapter Checking the water level.
The filter in the water inlet screw con-
nection is blocked - see Cleaning
and care.
The filters in the wash cabinet are
not clean - see Cleaning and care.
Spray arm jets are blocked - see
Cleaning and care.
The spray arms are obstructed by
items in the baskets.
White residue on cutlery and
crockery
Not enough rinse aid.
No salt in the salt reservoir.
Salt reservoir lid has not been
screwed on properly.
Water in the wash cabinet at the end
of a programme
The drain hose is kinked.
The drain pump or non-return valve
may be blocked. See Cleaning and
care.
