Safety distances to the sides and
back of the hob
Ideally the hob should be installed with
plenty of space on either side. There
may be a wall at the rear and a tall unit
or wall on one side (right or left) (see
illustrations).
a Minimum distance of 50 mm
between the back of the worktop
cut-out and the rear edge of the
worktop.
b Minimum distance of 50 mm
between the right of the worktop
cut-out and the nearest piece of
furniture (e.g. tall unit) or a wall.
c Minimum distance of 50 mm
between the left of the worktop
cut-out and the nearest piece of
furniture (e.g. tall unit) or a wall.
