Problem Possible cause and solution
flashes in the timer
display and the cooktop
switches off automati-
cally.
One or more of the sensor controls are covered, e.g.,
by finger contact, food boiling over, or an object.
Clean off any dirt and/or remove the object (see
“Safety features – Safety shut-off”).
After turning on the
cooktop,  appears in
the timer display for
several seconds. The
cooking zones don't
heat up.
The cooktop is in demo mode.
Deactivate demo mode (see “Programming”).
A burner turns itself off
automatically.
It might have been turned on for too long.

Start cooking at the highest power level, then re-
duce the power level manually.
The pan is not conducting heat properly.
Use a different pan that is able to better conduct
heat on an induction cooktop.
A noise can be heard
after the appliance is
turned off.
The fan will continue running until the cooktop has
cooled down. It will then turn itself off automatically.
