Problem Possible cause and remedy
Liquid has entered the
downdraft extractor.
Due to boiling over or spillage, liquid has made its
way through the extraction grille into the downdraft
extractor.
The base of the grease filter can hold approx. 250ml
of liquid. The moisture collection tray underneath the
housing can hold a further 250ml of liquid.
Switch off the downdraft extractor.
Clean the grease filter, the moisture collection tray
and the inside of the housing (see "Cleaning and
care").
Extraction performance
has decreased. The
extraction noise has
increased.
Objects (e.g. a tea towel) have been drawn into the
downdraft extractor through the extraction grille.
Switch off the downdraft extractor.
Remove the extraction grille and lift out the grease
filter (see "Cleaning and care").
Remove any objects from inside the grease filter
and reassemble all of the components.
