Function Description
The Miele washer-dryer is designed for domestic use, suitable for washing and tumble drying textiles that have appropriate care labels. It can perform washing separately, drying separately, or a continuous wash and dry sequence. The appliance features an integrated Wi-Fi module for Miele@home connectivity, allowing remote control and monitoring via the Miele App. It also includes the TwinDos system for automatic detergent dispensing and CapDosing for specialist detergents.

Usage Features
- Control Panel: Features a touch display and sensors for intuitive operation. The sensor navigates back one level, and the Start/Stop sensor initiates or cancels programmes. The sensor switches the appliance on/off.
- Main Menu: Provides access to Washing, Drying, Washing + Drying programmes, Favourites, MobileStart, Maintenance, and Settings.
- Programme Selection: Programmes can be selected from lists by swiping the touch display.
- Temperature and Spin Speed: Preset values can be adjusted for most programmes.
- TwinDos System: Automatic 2-phase detergent dispensing (UltraPhase 1 and 2) for optimal cleaning of white and coloured fabrics. Dispensing quantities are preset but can be adjusted. TwinDos can be activated/deactivated and the detergent type selected.
- CapDosing: Dispensing of specialist detergents, fabric care products, or additives via single-use capsules placed in the detergent dispenser drawer.
- Extras: Additional programme options such as Quick, Soak, Water plus, Extra rinse, Pre-ironing, SingleWash, Extra gentle, Intensive, AllergoWash, and Extra quiet.
- Stain Selection: Allows selection of various stain types to adapt the wash programme for more effective removal.
- Timer/SmartStart: Enables setting a finish time or a delayed start time for programmes, up to 24 hours. SmartStart (in selected countries) allows automatic programme start during economical energy periods.
- AddLoad Function: Allows adding or removing laundry during a programme, provided conditions like drum temperature and water level are safe.
- Washing/Drying Assistant: Guides users step-by-step to select optimal wash and dry programmes based on laundry items.
- Energy Saving: The appliance dims indicators after 10 minutes of inactivity to save energy. Programmes like ECO 40-60 are designed for energy and water efficiency.
- Drying Levels: Adjustable drying levels for programmes like Cottons, Minimum iron, and Automatic plus.
- Thermospin: A spin cycle in some drying programmes to reduce energy consumption.
Maintenance Features
- Maintenance Programmes:
- Clean "TwinDos": Cleans the TwinDos system hoses, essential if the system has not been used for over 2 months to prevent detergent from becoming viscous or drying out. Requires a "TwinDos Care" cartridge or refill container.
- Clean machine: Reduces bacteria, mould, and unpleasant odours, recommended regularly, especially after frequent low-temperature washes. Can be run with Miele IntenseClean machine cleaner or universal powder detergent.
- Rinse out fluff: Rinses away fluff that accumulates in the drum and suds container during drying, preventing blockages and deposits on subsequent loads.
- Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser Drawer: The entire drawer, including the siphon and channels, should be cleaned regularly to prevent mould and bacteria build-up.
- Cleaning the External Casing and Fascia Panel: Clean with a mild cleaning agent or soap and water.
- Cleaning the Porthole Glass: Clean the inside of the porthole glass and metal cap with a mild cleaning agent or soapy water.
- Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter: The filter at the open end of the water inlet hose should be checked and cleaned approximately every 6 months, or more often with frequent water supply interruptions.
