Why is my MINN KOTA Outboard Motor remote not transmitting?

There are several reasons why the remote might not be transmitting. First, the battery could be discharged, in which case you should replace it. Second, the receiver may not have 'learned' the remote, so you will need to refer to the Adding/Removing Remotes section of this manual to learn the remote. Third, if the foot pedal is connected, ensure the MOM-CON switch is in the MOM position, as the receiver won't accept commands from the remote in the CON position. Finally, if the remote has been taken apart, the keypad and top case may have been installed backwards. In this case, take the remote apart and reinstall the case halves with the proper orientation, referring to the Replacing the Battery section of this manual.
