For maximum sharpness when making expo-
sures too long to permit hand-holding the
camera, mount it on a tripod using the built-in
socket on
the bottom and release the shutter
with a Minolta electronic Remote Cord or a
standard cable release screwed
into the
threaded socket provided on the side of the lens
mount .
If the eyepiece is not being shielded by the
photographer's head when the shutter is re-
leased
in this way, the eyepiece cap should be
used (see p. 25).
