Overview

The Miroir Ultra Pro Projector is a portable device designed to project images and videos from various source devices onto a flat surface. It offers a range of connectivity options and user-friendly features for both setup and operation, making it suitable for personal and professional use.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Miroir Ultra Pro Projector is to display content from external devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and streaming sticks, onto a larger screen. It utilizes a projection lens to cast images, and its internal battery allows for portable use without immediate access to a power outlet. The projector also includes audio output capabilities, enabling users to connect external speakers or headphones for an enhanced audio experience.

Usage Features:

Power and Basic Operation:

The projector is turned on by sliding the lens cover. Battery indicator lights flash during charging and remain illuminated when fully charged, providing a clear visual cue of the power status. The device can be charged using the included USB-C cable and a MacBook USB-C power adapter or the AC Power Adapter.

Image Adjustment:

To ensure a clear and focused image, the projector features motorized focus buttons on the remote control and on the side of the projector. Users can press these buttons to adjust the focus. For optimal image quality, it is recommended to project onto a smooth and non-reflective surface and to ensure the projector's lens is parallel to the projection surface.

Audio Control:

The projector has volume controls on the device and the remote. These buttons allow users to increase or decrease the volume output. Additionally, a 3.5mm audio out port is available for connecting external speakers or headphones, providing flexibility for audio playback. If no sound is heard, users should check the volume levels on both the projector and the source device, verify adapter support for audio, and ensure the HDMI cable is fully plugged in.

Input Source Selection:

The projector supports multiple input sources. The "Source Input Button" on the device allows users to cycle through available input options. The remote control also provides dedicated buttons for "USB-C Video Input Select," "HDMI 1 Input Select," and "HDMI 2 Input Select," simplifying the process of switching between connected devices.

Connectivity Options:

  • HDMI Video Input: The projector includes an HDMI port for connecting devices that support HDMI video output. An HDMI cable is included in the box.
  • USB-C Video Input: A dedicated USB-C video input port is available for connecting devices that support USB-C video output. The projector comes with a USB-C video cable, which is specifically designed to support video transmission. It's important to note that not all USB-C cables support video, so using the provided cable is crucial.
  • USB Power Output: A USB port is available to provide power to HDMI streaming sticks or to charge a smartphone battery. This port is for power only and does not support video input.
  • Apple Device Connectivity: To connect an Apple device (e.g., iPhone, iPad), users will need an Apple Digital AV Adapter (sold separately) in addition to an HDMI cable.
  • MacBook Pro/MacBook Connectivity: For connecting a MacBook Pro or MacBook, the included USB-C video cable is required.

Remote Control Functions:

The remote control offers convenient access to various projector functions, including:

  • Power: Turns the projector on or off.
  • Invert Image: Adjusts the image orientation.
  • Eco Power On/Off: Controls power saving mode.
  • Motorized Focus: Adjusts image focus.
  • Volume Control: Adjusts audio volume.
  • Input Select: Dedicated buttons for USB-C, HDMI 1, and HDMI 2 input selection.

Troubleshooting Assistance:

The manual provides comprehensive troubleshooting steps for common issues such as:

  • Image Not Square: Advise checking lens parallelism and surface flatness.
  • No Sound: Guides users to check volume, adapter support, and cable connections.
  • No Signal Message: Directs users to verify cable and adapter usage, authenticate Apple adapters, use the correct USB-C video cable, check computer display settings for multiple display options, and confirm source device video output support.
  • Projector Not Powering On/Staying Powered On: Suggests checking battery life and charging the device.
  • Blurry Image: Recommends using motorized focus buttons and projecting onto a smooth, non-reflective surface.

Physical Design and Mounting:

The projector features rubber foot pads for stability and proper airflow to cooling vents, preventing overheating. It also includes a tripod mount, allowing users to attach it to a standard-sized tripod for flexible positioning (tripod not included).

Safety Information:

The manual emphasizes important safety instructions, including warnings against electric shock and fire hazards. Users are advised not to remove the cover, expose the unit to rain or moisture, or use it near water. It also highlights the importance of close supervision when used by children or individuals with disabilities and recommends unplugging the unit during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.

Rechargeable Battery Information:

The device contains a rechargeable battery. Users are warned not to store the product in high temperatures, damp areas, or direct sunlight, and not to disassemble or dispose of the product in fire or water. It also advises keeping the product out of reach of children and disposing of it properly through a local recycling center.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning:

While specific cleaning instructions are not detailed, the general safety guidelines suggest protecting the adapter cord from being walked on or pinched and preventing objects from falling onto the unit or liquids from spilling. This implies a need for careful handling to maintain the device's condition.

Battery Care:

Proper battery care is crucial for the longevity of the projector. Users are advised to charge the battery when one or fewer lights are illuminated. Adhering to the warnings regarding storage conditions (avoiding high temperatures, damp areas, and direct sunlight) will help preserve battery health.

General Care:

The manual implicitly suggests general care through its warnings, such as not dropping or inserting objects into any opening, and protecting the adapter cord. These practices contribute to the overall maintenance and durability of the projector.

Troubleshooting as Maintenance:

The detailed troubleshooting section can also be considered a form of user-level maintenance, as it guides users through diagnosing and resolving common operational issues, potentially preventing the need for professional repair. For example, ensuring proper cable connections and checking display settings are routine checks that users can perform to maintain optimal performance.

Warranty Information:

The projector comes with a one (1) year limited warranty covering defects under normal use. This warranty provides for repair or replacement of the defective product. Users are advised to contact Miroir at miroirusa.com with proof of purchase to obtain warranty service. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, accidents, alterations, unauthorized repairs, or use not in accordance with the documentation.
