The TV Remote Control and IEEE
1394 Devices
• For compatible satellite receivers and some cable
boxes, the TV remote control GUIDEkey displays the
on-screen programming guide for the receiver or cable
box. Press A Y 4 _" and ENTERto navigate the dis-
played program guide.
For satellite receivers, you may also be able to use the
numbers or other additional buttons.
For an IEEE 1394 cable box or satellite receiver, you
can also try using the CABLE/SATposition of the TV
remote control to see if it can operate the device. If
not, use the remote control that came with the device.
To Power On or Off a Compatible IEEE 1394
Device
1. Press INPUTto open the Input Selection menu.
2. Move the highlight to the icon for the device. There is
no need to press ENTER.
3. Press POWER.
4. Press EXITto return toTVviewing.
