Using the active A/V Network (cont.)
using the PLAY button (AUTO PI_.kY)
When you press PLAY on the remote:
• Active A/V Network will turn your VCR on and bei_n playing
the tape (if any).
• Active A/V Network will turn your TV on and switch it to EXT-1.
When you turn your TV off:
• Your VCR will turn off, unless it is playing or recording.

using the PIP button (TWO TUNER PIP)
You must be watching a broadcast channel on Antenna-A or An-
tenna-B to use the Active A/V Network PIP function correctly.
When you press the PIP button on the remote to bring up a PIP
image:
• Your VCR will automatically turn on.
• You can see the VCR's picture in the small PIP image.
While the PIP image is on the screen:
• The PIP function buttons (SOURCE, CHANNEL, ENTER, right/
left, adjust up/down, PAUSE) will all work in the same manner.
• The CHANNEL and number buttoas (0-9) will automatically
control the small PIP image. You cannot change channels on
the main image.
When you press the PIP button on the remote to turn offthe PIP
image:
• CHANNEL, the number buttons, and all other functions will
work normally again.

If you turn offthe TV wlhile it is set to EXT-1, it will return to the
last channel you viewed on Antenna-A or Antenna-B when you turn
the TV back on.
If you leave the TV turned on, set to EXT-1, but the 'IW is not
receiving a signal on EXT-1, it will a_.tomatically turn off after five
minutes. (If you use a TV menu during; this time, the TV will turn
off five minutes after you stop using the! menus.)
_Important: You should not press the PIP button while you are watching a
channel that is not receiving any broadcasts. You will not be able
to see the small PIP image, and you will not be able to change
channels on the main image. You may need to turn off the TV and
