The selector lever always returns to its home
() position when it is released.
Press the electrical parking switch (B) to shift
to the “P” (PARK) position.
After starting the Hybrid EV System, fully
depress the brake pedal, and move the selec-
tor lever from home position to any of the
desired shift positions.
To select the “N” (NEUTRAL) position, hold
the selector lever at the “N” (NEUTRAL)
position until “N” is displayed on the instru-
ment cluster.
The “B” (REGENERATIVE BRAKE) posi-
tion can only be selected while the shift posi-
tion is in the “D” (DRIVE) position. When
the shift position is in the “D” (DRIVE) posi-
tion, slide the selector lever twice toward the
rear of the vehicle, the shift position switches
to the “B” (REGENERATIVE BRAKE) posi-
tion.
Slide the selector lever twice toward the rear
of the vehicle again, and the shift position
returns to the “D” (DRIVE) position.
This position locks the wheels to prevent the
vehicle from moving.
This position is used to back up.
No power is transmitted to the wheels. The
wheels are not locked.
This position is for normal driving.
Use this position when strong regenerative
braking is required, such as on a steep down-
hill.

operating.

8 inch digital driver display: speedometer,
energy usage indicator, warnings, odometer,
tripmeter, average and momentary fuel con-
sumption, average speed, driving support etc.

While driving on a slippery road, do not
use the “B” (REGENERATIVE BRAKE)
position. Abruptly releasing the accelera-
tor pedal can apply strong regenerative
braking causing the vehicle to skid which
could result in an accident.
