Why does my MK Sound MX-1000 Subwoofer have very little output from amplifier terminals?
    • W
      William SimsJul 30, 2025
If you're experiencing very little output from your MK Sound Subwoofer when using the "FROM AMPLIFIER" terminals, the input cables may be out of phase. Try reversing the (+) and ( — ) connections for ONE CHANNEL ONLY at the "FROM AMPLIFIER" terminals. If the problem persists, revert the cables to their original configuration.

Why does my MK Sound Subwoofer have no output?

      Sharon BaileyAug 5, 2025
First, ensure the subwoofer is properly connected to a functioning AC outlet. Then, check the "BASS LEVEL" control; it should be set above the "MIN" position, rotate it clockwise if needed. Also, make sure the input cables are correctly connected and in good condition, replace them if necessary. If the LED is not lit, check and replace the AC fuse next to the LED (unplug the subwoofer first). If the red LED is still lit, and you hear noise when touching the cable, the subwoofer is working, so check other components in your system.

What to do if my MK Sound Subwoofer hums or buzzes?

      Megan YoungAug 11, 2025
A persistent hum or buzz from your MK Sound Subwoofer often stems from the Subwoofer reproducing a 60 Hz hum frequency originating elsewhere in your system. Begin by rerouting speaker wires and RCA interconnect cables away from AC cords and power supplies. If the hum persists, disconnect all input cables from the Subwoofer while keeping it plugged into the AC outlet, then carefully increase the "BASS LEVEL" control towards the "MAX" position to check if the noise is coming from the Subwoofer itself. Also, try plugging the Subwoofer into the same outlet as your amplifier or receiver, or reverse the polarity of the AC plug. If these steps don't resolve the issue, further assistance may be needed.

What to do if MK Sound MX-1000 Subwoofer cuts out at high volume?
    • F
      fbrandtAug 17, 2025
If your MK Sound Subwoofer cuts out or becomes intermittent after prolonged operation at high volume, the protection circuit may have been activated due to overheating. To resolve this, unplug the unit and let it sit for at least half an hour. After this period, plug it back in; it should then operate normally.

What to do if my MK Sound MX-1000 thumps when turning on the system?
    • B
      Bruce VincentAug 22, 2025
If you hear a thump through your MK Sound Subwoofer every time you turn the system on while using the "FROM PREAMP" input terminals, this likely indicates that the preamp, receiver, or surround sound processor is generating the thump. A solution is to switch to the speaker wire "FROM AMPLIFIER" input terminals.
