Summary

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

REMOVAL OF OLD DISPOSAL

Step A: Disconnect Drain Line

Unplug or turn off power, disconnect drain line from disposal discharge tube.

Step B: Handle Dishwasher Connection

If installed, unplug or turn off power and remove dishwasher drain hose.

Step C: Loosen Mounting Ring

Support disposal, turn lower mounting ring to remove from sink flange.

HARDWIRE REMOVAL AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Step D: Hardwire Removal

Turn off power, disconnect hardwired connections or unplug unit.

Step E: Plug-in Cord Connection

Connect disposal cord to 110-120V AC outlet; ensure proper grounding.

PARTS LIST

INSTALLATION OF MOUNTING ASSEMBLY

Step 1: Disassemble Mounting Assembly

Turn lower mount ring to disengage from ramps; loosen screws to move ring.

Step 2: Remove Snap Ring and Parts

Use screwdriver to remove snap ring, then remove mounting ring, backup flange, and fiber gasket.

MOUNTING ASSEMBLY REASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

Step 3: Re-assemble Flange Components

Re-assemble fiber gasket, backup flange, and mounting ring onto sink flange.

Step 4: Install Sink Flange Sealant

Clean drain area, apply plumber's sealant, position sink flange, and apply weight.

Step 5: Secure Mounting Components

Pull snap ring open and press into groove to secure mounting parts.

ATTACHING DISCHARGE ELBOW AND PREPARING DISHWASHER INLET

Step 6: Tighten Backup Flange Screws

Tighten three 1/2" screws evenly against backup flange, do not overtighten.

Step 7: Install Discharge Elbow

Install new discharge elbow/gasket assembly, tighten screws, do not overtighten.

Step 8: Prepare Dishwasher Inlet

Knock out dishwasher inlet plug using blunt instrument, remove gasket from elbow.

CONNECTING DISPOSAL TO MOUNT ASSEMBLY

Step 9: Check Disposal Components

Check that lower mounting ring and cushioning mount are engaged on disposal.

Step 10: Align and Hang Disposal

Align discharge elbow and hang disposal by aligning tabs with slide-up ramps.

Step 11: Lock Mounting Ring

Turn lower mounting ring until tabs lock over ramps; use screwdriver for leverage if needed.

DRAIN LINE AND DISHWASHER HOSE CONNECTIONS

Step 12: Reconnect Discharge Elbow to Drain Line

Reconnect discharge elbow to drain line, secure with wrench, check for leaks.

Step 13: Connect Dishwasher Hose

Connect dishwasher hose using clamp; use a dishwasher connector kit if hose size differs.

ELECTRICAL, GROUNDING AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Grounding Instructions

Ensure proper grounding for safety; use grounded plug-in cord and appropriate outlet.

Electrical Connections

Connect to 110-120V AC, use factory plug-in cord, ensure proper outlet and switch.

Operating Instructions

Run cold water, turn on switch, scrape garbage, run water after use.

OPERATION TIPS, CLEANING AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Tips for Successful Operation

Ensure disposal is empty before dishwasher use, leave stopper in drain when not in use.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Motor is permanently lubricated; do not attempt to lubricate or use chemical cleaners.

Address foreign objects, humming noises, and unit not starting by checking reset button and wiring.
