If the Control Panel is to be used to activate a "shunt trip" municipal
box, Terminals

should be connected to the coil of an auxiliary
relay whose contacts are used to break the shunt loop. If the Control
Panel is to be used to activate a "local energy" municipal box, the

tripping coil should be connected directly to Terminals
11
and
12
with an
appropriate series dropping resistor. When connecting a trip coil to
terminals
11
and
12
of the Control Panel, remove the
5
watt resistor and
connect the trip coil directly. (The total resistance across Terminals
11
and
12
must equal the resistance of the original
5
watt resistor as stated
above.
