Why does my Monster Power Surge Protector emit a humming noise?

The humming or buzzing noise from your speakers could be because the Monster PowerCenter is sharing AC power with equipment that isn't properly grounded. To resolve this, try connecting your PowerCenter to a dedicated outlet. You can also try unplugging components from the PowerCenter one at a time to see if the noise stops. If you find a component that is improperly grounded, attach a copper wire from the component’s chassis to the PowerCenter’s grounding post.
