PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
For maintaining the unit that is not to be used for a long time.
•
Detach the water plug to drain any remaining water.
•
Run in Fan mode for at least 2 hours to dry internal parts. Power off and disconnect from
the power supply.
•
Clean the filter and reinstall.
•
Dismantle the air exhaust duct and store it in a cool place.
•
Remove batteries.
•
Wrap the unit in a plastic bag and keep in a dry and cool place.
If the unit has not been used for a long time, please pay attention to the following
when operating again:
•
Ensure water plug and filter are installed.
•
Inspect power cord and plug before connecting to power supply.
•
Insert batteries into the remote control.
•
Assemble other parts according to the user manual.
DRAINAGE
The self-evaporative system will help the unit perform better and save energy by cooling
down the condenser by reusing condensed water.
The unit will display “FL” with a buzzing sound, if built-in water container is full. After the
compressor stops operation, drain water as follows:
•
Unplug and dismantle air exhaust duct; Move the appliance to a right place;
•
Detach the water plug on the drainage outlet and drain all water.
•
Re-insert the water plug.
•
Re-install the air exhaust duct, restart the appliance.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Always power off and disconnect from the power supply before commencing with
maintenance.
Cleaning the exterior
•
Unplug before cleaning.
•
Clean with soft and moist cloth. Never use chemical cleansers such as benzene, alcohol
and gasoline as these can damage the exterior finishing.
•
Do not splash water as these can damage the inner parts.
Cleaning the filter
Clean the filter once every two weeks. Frequent cleaning is
required if indoor air quality is bad, as operating performance
can be affected. Follow below instructions for cleaning the
filter:
•
Detach the air-inlet grille as indicated in the illustration.
•
Wash the filter in 40 C warm water or water with neutral
detergent.
•
Dry the filter in a cool place.
•
Reinstall the filter and grille and restart the appliance.
WARNING:
•
Do not wash filter in hot water above 40 C.
•
Do not use abrasive solvents such as alcohol, gasoline
and benzene.
•
In case of deformation, keep filters away from heat
sources and dry naturally in a cool place.
•
Warning: Never operate the unit without the filter installed.
If filter is dirty, clean in 40ºC
warm water or in water with
neutral detergent.
Use a vacuum cleaner to
clean if it is only slightly dirty
