Memory Keypad User's Manual
This document outlines the features, operation, troubleshooting, and precautions for the Memory Keypad, designed for use with adjustable desks.
Function Overview
The Memory Keypad offers a comprehensive set of features to enhance the usability and safety of adjustable desks. Key functions include:
- Memory Positions: The keypad supports 3 programmable memory positions, allowing users to save and recall their preferred desk heights quickly.
- Anti-Collision Stop Feature: For safety, the system includes an anti-collision mechanism that stops desk movement if an obstruction is detected. The sensitivity of this feature can be configured to high, medium, low, or default settings.
- Reset Function: A reset function is available for initial setup, to address desk imbalance, or to correct incorrect height display data. This is performed by holding the UP and DOWN keys simultaneously for 5 seconds until the desk reaches its lowest displayed height.
- Height Display: The current lifting height is displayed using a white LED. The display unit can be switched between centimeters (cm) and inches (inch) by pressing and holding the M key and the 3 key simultaneously.
- Key Press Protection: To protect the system, frequent key presses are prevented.
- Switchable Height Display Unit: As mentioned, users can switch between metric and imperial units for height display.
- Power-Down Memory: The system retains programmed positions even after a power outage, ensuring convenience.
- Smooth Operation: The desk features a slow start and slow stop mechanism for smooth and stable movement.
- Adjustable Base Height Setting: Users can adjust the base height setting, allowing for customization of the desk's minimum height. This involves lowering the desk to its minimum, holding the DOWN key for 10 seconds to enter the setting interface, using UP/DOWN to adjust values (with the 3 key to switch adjustments), and confirming with the 1 and 2 keys.
- Configurable Lifting Height Range: Both lower and upper limits for the desk's lifting height can be set.
- Setting the Lower Limit: Hold down both the M key and the 1 key. The display will blink, showing real-time height. Use UP or DOWN to adjust to the desired minimum height, then press the S key to confirm and save.
- Setting the Upper Limit: Hold down both the M key and the 2 key. The display will blink, showing real-time height. Use UP or DOWN to adjust to the desired maximum height, then press the M key to confirm and save.
- Standby Mode: The system automatically enters standby mode after 60 seconds of inactivity, with the LED screen turning off to conserve power. Any key press (except the M key) will resume normal operation.
Protection Measures
The Memory Keypad incorporates several protection mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable operation:
- Overheating Protection: The system includes overheating protection for the motors.
- Over-current Protection: Over-current protection is implemented to safeguard the system from excessive electrical current.
- Tilt Protection: The desk is equipped with tilt protection to prevent damage or injury if it becomes unbalanced.
Low Consumption
- Standby Power: The device consumes a minimal 0.1 W in standby mode, contributing to energy efficiency.
Usage Features
- Raising and Lowering the Desk: Press the UP key to raise the desk and the DOWN key to lower it. Releasing the key stops the desk's movement.
- Saving a Position:
- Adjust the desk to the desired height using the UP or DOWN key.
- Press the M key; the display will flash for 5 seconds.
- Within these 5 seconds, press one of the memory keys (1, 2, or 3) to store the position.
- Repeat for other memory positions. Stored data is retained even after a power outage.
- Recalling a Stored Position: Hold down the memory key to reach the saved height, or press it once for automatic adjustment. Movement can be stopped by pressing any key during adjustment.
