POINT
GAP:
Temporarily
install
the cam on
crankshaft
end
and rotate
it
gently
to
obtain
maximum
gap
between
contact
points
(fig.
l.)
Adjust the
gap
with the feeler
gauge
(tlo.
100017,
fig.
2)
to
between
35/100mm minimum
and 40/100mm
maximum.

NECESSARY
PROCEED AS FOLLOhIS :
Loosen the retaining screw
of the
fixed arm
using
a
screwdriver
(fig
.
2).
Pivot
the
breaker
assembly to adjust to the
specified
gap
(fig
.
2).
Tighten
the
fixed
arm
retaining screw.
Check
the
maximum
point gap
after tightening
the
fixed arm
retaining
screw.
SETTING
THE
IGNITION TIMING:
-
Remove
spark
plug
and
install
timing
tool.
Bring
the
piston
to
top dead
center.
Turn
the
timinq tool until
the
top edge of
the
body of the
tool
js
aligned
wjth the lower edge
of the
blue stripe.
Rotate the
engine counterclockwise
(viewed
from the magneto
side)
until
the blue stripe
just
disappears.
Disconnect the
grey
wire from the
H. T.
the ohm
meter to the
grey
wire.
