cheek

upwards).
Install
the
ball
case
and insert
the balls
in
the
recesses
(fig.
7).
Smear a thin
pel'l
icle
of
grease
over the
ball race
on the
variator
flange.
Remove
the
variator
hub
from
the
support
tool
and
fjt
the
screwed
fixed
cheek.
Fit
the
assembly
on
the support
tool
(no.
100026).
NOTE: Variators for
V-belts
(nominal
wjdth
=
l8mm)
are
fitted with the
retaininq
ring
and the
washer
p'l
aced
before
the
fixed cheek.
Install
the
fixed
cheek
(R.H.
thread) and lock
it with Tool No. 100027.
-
Tiqhten
the locknut
(1.H.
thread) with a 35mm
box wrench.
