sprinss.onto

pivots.
When
fully
fitted
in, they
should
spread
out
freely
(fig.
5).
NQTE:
Previous
variators
are
fitted with
'flyweiqhts
dril
led with
four
2mm
holes
for
hooking
return
sprinqs.
You may
hook
the
sprinos
in the
holes
nearest
to each
other.
Thjs will
decrease
sprinos
tension
and
allow
better
starting
at
lower
speeds.
Fit
the
two
spring washers
on the
pivots
(to prevent
flyweight
side
play,
fig. 5).
Fit
the variator
bell
onto
the
hub/flyweiqhts
assembly
(fiq.
5).
IN THE CASE OF
NEtll
VARIATORS:
Clean
the thread
and
put
some
L0CTITE
and
fit the
four
countersunk
SCTCWS.
-
Tjghten
progressive'ly
and lock
the
screws
by
means
of a
heavy
screw-
dri ver.
IN THE
CASE
OF
OLD
VARIATORS:
Fit four
new countersunk
screws and
tiqhten
progress'ive1y.
By
means
of
a
heavy screwdriver,
lock
the
screws.
