REPLACING
THE
FRONT
WHEEL
ADJUSTMENT CONES, CUPS, AND BALLS
Remove
the
front
wheel
and the front
brake
plate
(refer
to
page
67
).
Remove
the
axle nut
on
the
other side
of
the wheel
(18nrm
wrench),
together
with
the washers
and
speedometer
drive
unit
(fig.
1).
Remove the spacer
and the foam
washer.
Remove the
cone lock
nut
(l.7mm
wrench)
and
keyed
washer. Remove
the
cone
(fig
.
2).
Remove
the axle
nut.
Renpve the
two oil deflectors
using a
screwdriver
and take
care
not
to
drop the
bal1s,
diameter 5.5mm
(tt
balls
on each
side, fig.
3).
Remove
the
beari
ng
cups us i ng

ft
punch
and a
hamer
.
