Removing a Priority Status and a Reply Request
from a Text Message
Ensure that a outgoing message is composed to
allow you to perform this procedure. See Composing
and Sending a New Text Message on page 95 for
more information.

The display shows the normal message icon on the

Receiving a Text Message
Note
When you receive a message that is flagged
with the “Request Reply” icon, you must
manually respond to the sender that you have
received the message. The system will not
automatically send back a notification that the
radio has received such message.
The following methods are options on how to receive
a text message. The result of all the methods is the
same. You can use the options interchangeably
depending on your preference and the programmed
functions.
Receiving a text message via the Data Feature
button or the TMS Feature button:
a) When you receive a message, press and hold
the preprogrammed Data Feature button or the
TMS Feature button to access the Inbox.
