Learning to Use Your Phone
Note:

Tap Method Text Entry Rules
•
Press a number key repeatedly to cycle through its
characters. See the character chart on page 33.
•
If you do not press a key for 2 seconds, the
character in the block cursor is accepted, and the
cursor moves to the next position.
•
Press
S
left or right to move the flashing cursor to
the left or right in a text message.
•
The first character of every sentence is capitalized. To
force the character to lowercase while it is highlighted
by the block cursor, press
S
down.
•
Your phone may support multiple languages. The
current language setting determines whether a new
message begins on the left or right side of the display.
You can switch languages within a message. Press
M
to select the text entry method and language.
•
If you enter or edit information and do not want to save
your changes, press
O
to exit without saving.
