Messages
Sending a Status Message
Select the desired group, then press - 1 Messages - 1 Send
Sts - Ok. Select status and press PTT to send the status message.
Sending a New Message
Press - 1 Messages - 1 New - Ok. Write your message.
Press Optns and select Send. Select your mail recipient or enter
number. Press PTT to send the new message.
Sending a User-defined Message
Press - 1 Messages - 2 Templates - Ok. Scroll and choose
your required template. Press Optns and select Send. Select your
mail recipient or enter number. Press PTT to send the message.
Sending a Predefined Message
Press - 1 Messages - 2 Templates - Ok. Scroll and choose
your required template. Press Edit to edit the message. Type
required information. Press PTT to send the message.
Handling New Incoming Text Messages
The icon will flash on your display and the MTM800 sounds a
tone.
To enter the Inbox press - 1 Messages - 2 Inbox - Ok. Scroll
to the messages and select Read soft key. To read a long message,
press More to read the next page and Exit to return to the previous
page.
Handling Old Messages
Press - 1 Messages - 2 Inbox - Ok. Scroll to the messages
and select Optns. You can read, erase one message or erase all by
selecting the relevant option.
