Why does the Dot-LED or Numeric LED light up and then fail on the Motus Elliptical Trainer (M770E)?
    • R
      rickywalshSep 12, 2025
If the Dot-LED or Numeric LED lights up and then fails on your Motus Elliptical Trainer (M770E), it could be due to a faulty battery. Verify that the battery voltage is greater than 6 volts DC; replace the battery if the voltage is lower. It may also be due to a faulty MPU board or Drive board; test with a substitute MPU board and replace if necessary. Check that the main cable CN1 is plugged into both the MPU board and Drive board, replacing it if necessary. Finally, inspect the wire harness for wear or damage and replace if needed.

      David WiseAug 23, 2025
If the console LEDs on your Motus Elliptical Trainer are not illuminating, it could be due to a faulty MPU board or Drive board. Use a multi-meter to verify more than 6VDC at pin-7 and pin-8 on CN1. If voltage is present, replace the MPU board. If not, replace the Drive board. Also, check that the main cable CN1 is securely plugged into both the MPU board and Drive board, replacing it if necessary. Finally, inspect the wire harness for any wear or damage and replace if needed.

How to fix erratic heart rate reading using wireless chest strap on Motus M770E?
    • M
      meganmillerAug 25, 2025
An erratic or missing heart rate reading when using a wireless chest strap on your Motus Elliptical Trainer can occur for several reasons: * Ensure the chest strap electrodes are sufficiently damp with tap water. * Maintain a distance of more than 30 cm between cardio equipment. * Make sure the chest strap is within 60cm of the Wireless HR PCB. * Replace the chest strap or its battery. * Ensure the chest strap electrodes lie flat and horizontally across your skin. * If problems persist, the chest strap or Wireless HR PCB may be faulty and require replacement. Also, check the cable and connection between the Wireless HR PCB and MPU PCB.

What to do if the Motus M770E Elliptical Trainer displays 'snow and noise' on the LCD screen?
    • A
      Amanda EllisAug 27, 2025
If your Motus Elliptical Trainer LCD screen displays snow and noise, and no picture appears when using the channel buttons, the air/cable setting may be incorrect; follow the setup procedures in the LCD manual. Ensure the TV signal source is correctly supplied to the A/D PCB from an external source, and that the cable is secure. If the external TV signal is correct, connect the coaxial cable directly to the internal connector in the AD PCB of the Console to check the internal cables. The 75 ohm coaxial cable may also be bad and require replacement. If the issue persists, the A/D Board may be damaged and need replacing.

Why is there loud noise issuing from the Motus M770E during exercise?
    • C
      Charles SchwartzSep 9, 2025
Loud noise from your Motus Elliptical Trainer during exercise may be due to loose hardware. Verify that the unit is level on the floor and that all hardware is tightened, applying Loctite where necessary. It could also be due to worn bearings, in which case you should replace the bearings and associated shaft. A drive belt that is too loose can also cause noise; inspect the belt and replace it if necessary.

    • R
      Rachel JohnsonSep 4, 2025
If your Motus Elliptical Trainer unit does not Auto Start (M770E), the battery may be faulty. Verify that the battery voltage is greater than 6 volts DC; replace the battery if the voltage is lower. Also, check the cable connections at the MPU board and Drive board, as well as the connection between cables at the midpoint, ensuring they are properly plugged in. Use a multi-meter to verify continuity on all cables, replacing any defective cables. If the cable connection is verified as good, replace the Drive board.
