Symptom Possible fault
The fan has stopped Fault in the power supply.
Check the power supply.
Short circuit in connecon.
Check for moisture in the safety
switch and motor connecon.
Locked impellar
Check that there are no
foreign objects in the fan
housing.
Locked impellar
Check that no ice has formed
in the fan housing.
Locked impellar
Check that the bearing in
the motor is working.
Loss of performance Motor winding
Check for resistance between
windings.
Debris
Check that there are no
foreign objects in the fan
housing.
Incorrect direcon of rotaon
Check the direcon of
rotaon.
Connecons
Check that connecons and
duct roung are correct.
In order to sasfy applicable standards, the
FB fan must be fied with a contactor and
overcurrent protecon.
To choose the correct contactor, see page 6.
If technical regulang apparatus (e.g.
frequency converter) is used, the
manufacturer's recommendaons for avoiding
interference must be observed. E.g. EMC,
protecve earth, cable length, cable shielding,
etc..
The one phase motor is equipped with double
capacitors. When the fan is not operang in full
running speed, i.e. during the start-up and shut down
process, the motor produces a mechanical sound,
deriving from the switch between the two capacitors.
This is a normal sound and it is not harmful for the
motor.
Troubleshoong
Always go through the troubleshoong schedule
before contacng Movex. This schedule contains
informaon that makes it easy to idenfy faults that
are simple to recfy.
Set external safety switch in the off posion.
The fan can start up without warning following
a power outage
Only qualified personnel may perform servicing
work on the fan.
