This document is an owner's manual for MSpa inflatable hot tubs, covering models C-TE041/061 Tekapo, C-BE041/061/081 Bergen, C-OM061 Ottoman, and C-ST061 Starry. It provides comprehensive instructions for safe operation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these portable spa products.
The MSpa hot tub is designed for household use, offering a relaxing bubble massage and heating system. It is a portable, inflatable spa that can be set up indoors or outdoors, providing a heated water environment for leisure. The spa features a wired controller for easy operation of its various functions.
Function Description
The MSpa hot tub serves as a personal spa pool, offering hydrotherapy through a bubble massage system and a water heating function. Its primary function is to provide a relaxing and therapeutic experience in heated, bubbling water. The control system integrates a heater, massage air blower, and filter pump, all managed through a wired controller.
Usage Features
- Setup and Inflation: The spa is designed for quick setup, typically within 10 minutes by one or more persons. It involves spreading the spa tub on a flat, smooth, and supporting surface, then inflating the spa tub wall using the bubble button on the controller. A manometer is provided to ensure correct air pressure, with clear indications for "Yellow" (after inflation, before filling, or when left unattended in high temperatures), "Green" (when filled with water or in use), and "White" (indicating excessively high air pressure, requiring air release).
- Water Filling: After inflation, the spa is filled with fresh water to a level between MIN and MAX marks inside the spa wall. It is recommended to use lukewarm water to expedite heating and save energy.
- Heating System: The spa includes a heating system that can be activated via the wired controller. The LED display shows the current water temperature, and users can adjust the desired temperature between 20°C and 40°C. The heating system automatically activates the filtration system. An anti-icing system is also integrated, automatically heating the water to 3°C if the temperature falls below 1°C to prevent freezing.
- Bubble Massage System: A bubble massage function provides a relaxing experience. This system can be turned on/off using the controller, and it automatically shuts down after 20 minutes for safety, reactivating after a 10-minute pause.
- Filtration System: The spa is equipped with a filter pump and a replaceable filter cartridge to maintain water cleanliness. The filtration system runs automatically when heating is active and stops 30 seconds after heating is turned off. A reminder system alerts users when the filter cartridge needs cleaning or replacement.
- Heating Timer: Users can set a timer for the heater to activate at a specified number of hours in the future (1 to 99 hours). This allows for pre-setting the spa to be warm when desired.
- Safety Lock: The controller features a safety lock function, activated by pressing the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, to prevent accidental changes to settings.
- PRCD Testing: Before each use, the Portable Residual Current Device (PRCD) on the power cord must be tested to ensure proper function, a critical safety measure against electric shock.
- Seasonal Use Precautions: The manual provides specific guidance for using the spa in different seasons. In summer, it advises placing the spa in a sheltered area, regularly checking air pressure, and considering lowering water temperature when not in use. In winter, it recommends softening the PVC material indoors before unfolding, inflating in temperatures above 15°C, and keeping the heater on (or in stand-by mode) to prevent freezing. For rainy days, it suggests avoiding the bubble function if there are no rainproof facilities to prevent damage to the bubble generator.
- Water Protection Levels: The manual includes a diagram and description of water protection zones (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2) in accordance with IEC 60364-7-702, highlighting safety distances for electrical components.
Maintenance Features
- Filter Cartridge Maintenance: The filter cartridge should be inspected and cleaned gently after each use. It needs to be changed every 3-5 days or when soiled/discolored. The filter cartridge base is designed to be screwed on and off for easy replacement.
- Water Quality Maintenance: Regular water changes (every 3-5 days depending on use) and the use of spa chemicals are essential to maintain proper water conditions. The manual provides a table for water balance parameters (pH, Free Chlorine, Bromine residual, Total Alkalinity, Total Hardness) with recommended test frequencies and correct levels. It emphasizes the importance of showering before spa use to minimize cosmetic residues in the water.
- Drainage and Cleaning: The spa can be drained by turning off all functions and lifting the spa tub when only a little water is left. After draining, the spa tub should be cleaned with a sponge and mild soap solution, avoiding steel wool, hard brushes, or abrasive cleaners.
- Spa Deflation: The spa can be deflated by unscrewing the valve completely.
- Repair Kit: A repair patch is included for repairing punctures in the spa tub or air bladder. The process involves cleaning and drying the area, applying glue to the PVC patch, and attaching it to the damaged surface.
- Storage: For long-term storage, the spa should be drained, cleaned, deflated, and disassembled. All components must be thoroughly clean and dry. The spa tub should be folded loosely to prevent damage and stored in a dry, temperature-controlled area (0°C to 40°C). The original packaging is recommended for storage.
- Troubleshooting: The manual includes an "ERROR CODE CHART" and a "PROBLEM/CAUSE/SOLUTION" table to help users identify and resolve common issues, such as signal wire loose, communication failed, temperature sensor failure, power socket failure, spa leaking, and heating problems.
- Serial Number and Service Contact: Information on locating the serial number (back of the controller or foot of the control box) and finding local service contacts (via QR code or website) is provided for support.
