LIMITED WARRANTY

SAFE OPERATION PRACTICES FOR TILLERS

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

UNPACKING

Remove tiller and loose parts from carton; check all items and literature before discarding.

TAILPIECE INSTALLATION

Slide tailpiece into chassis and secure with U-clevis pin and hairpin clip.

CONTROLS

TINE INSTALLATION

Install inner tine assemblies correctly for proper soil entry and tilling width.

THROTTLE CONTROL

Lever controls engine speed and stops the engine; adjust for various modes.

FORWARD DRIVE CLUTCH LEVER

Squeeze lever to engage forward tine drive; release to stop forward motion.

REVERSE DRIVE CLUTCH LEVER

Squeeze lever to engage reverse tine drive; release to stop reverse motion.

OPERATION

GAS AND OIL FILL-UP

Service engine with gasoline and oil as per separate engine manual.

TO START ENGINE

Follow safety warnings and steps for choke, throttle, and starter rope.

TO STOP ENGINE

Move throttle to STOP and disconnect spark plug wire for safety.

HOW TO USE YOUR TILLER

WHEEL POSITION

Adjust wheel yoke for desired tilling depth and forward speed.

SWINGING TAILPIECE;DEPTH STAKE

Lock or swing tailpiece/depth stake for maneuverability or depth control.

CONTROLLING SPEED AND TILLING DEPTH

Adjust wheel yoke, depth stake, and handle pressure for desired results.

CULTIVATING

Use for cultivating soil to a 2-3 inch depth; adjust for width.

TRANSPORTING THE TILLER

Pivot depth stake forward to lock; move under own power at slow speed.

Minor adjustment may be needed for fuel, temp, altitude, or load.

Adjust throttle control cable for proper engine speed and stopping function.

LUBRICATION

Lubricate moving parts and pivot points at least once a season with SAE 30 engine oil.
