Mulching (If Equipped)
Selectmodelscomeequippedwitha mulchkitwhich

repeatedlybeneaththecuttingdeck.The ultra-fine
clippingsarethenforcedbackinto thelawnwherethey
actasa naturalfertilizer.
Observethefollowingpointsforthebestresultswhen
mulching:
,, Neverattemptto mulchif the lawnisdamp.Wetgrass
tendstosticktothe undersideof the cuttingdeck
preventingpropermulchingoftheclippings.
,, Do NOTattemptto mulchmorethan1/3the total
heightof thegrassor approximately1-1/2inches.
Doingso will causethe clippingsto clumpupbeneath
thedeckandnotbe mulchedeffectively.
,, Maintaina slowgroundspeedto allowthegrass
clippingsmoretimeto effectivelybe mulched.
,, AlwayspositionthethrottlecontrolleverintheFAST
(rabbit)positionandallowittoremaintherewhile
mowing.Failingtokeepthe engineat full throttle

Tooperatethe cuttingdeckwithoutmulching,simply
removethemulchplug by unthreadingthe plasticwing
nutwhichfastensitto thecuttingdeck.Thiswill allowthe
