Warning:
This unit is equipped with an internal combustion engine and should not be used on or near any unimproved forest-cov-
ered, brush-covered or grass-covered land unless the engine’s exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting applicable
local or state laws (if any). If a spark arrester is used, it should be maintained in effective working order by the operator. In the State
of California the above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California Public Resources Code). Other states may have similar laws.
Federal laws apply on federal lands. A spark arrester for the muffler is available through your nearest engine authorized service dealer
or contact the service department, P.O. Box 361131 Cleveland, Ohio 44136-0019.

Check that the spark plug wire(s) are connected to the spark plug. Also, verify the throttle control lever is in the FAST position. If these steps don't work, pull out the CHOKE control (if equipped) and fill the tank with clean, fresh gas (less than 30 days old). Finally, check for a blocked fuel line, a faulty spark plug, or a flooded engine. Clean the fuel line or replace the fuel filter if needed. For a flooded engine, crank it with the throttle in the FAST position.

Next, make sure the spark plug wire(s) are securely connected and tightened. Also, check for a blocked fuel line or stale fuel; clean the fuel line and fill the tank with fresh gasoline (less than 30 days old). A plugged vent in the gas cap could also be the issue; clear the vent or replace the cap if damaged. Finally, check for water or dirt in the fuel system; drain the fuel tank and refill with clean, fresh gasoline. Replacing the air filter might also solve this problem.
