  If the maximum water level is reached, the water level electrode opens the water drain valve, discharging water. If the valve's opening time exceeds 4 minutes, the pump shuts off and triggers the water alarm. To address this, first, acknowledge the alarm by pressing the illuminated 'Water alarm' button. Additionally, you can manually drain the water by pressing the illuminated 'Water drain' button, which opens the water drain valve.

To address this, drain the engine oil, replace the oil separator, replace the exhaust turbocharger, check the cylinder compression, replace the cylinder head, carry out an endoscopic examination of the cylinder liner, replace the piston rings, replace the cylinder liner, or contact Service.

What to do if MTU Engine does not turn when starter is actuated?

  If your MTU Engine does not turn when the starter is activated, it could be due to several reasons: a low or faulty battery, faulty cable connections, issues with the engine wiring, loose assemblies or connectors on the LOP, loose plug-in connections on the Engine Control Unit or Engine Interface Module (EIM), a faulty fuse F1 in the engine wiring harness, or a blocked running gear. To resolve this, charge or replace the battery, ensure cable connections are secure, check the engine wiring, visually inspect the assemblies, and check the plug connections on the Engine Control Unit and Engine Interface Module. Also, inspect the fuse and replace it if necessary. If the running gear is blocked, contact Service.
