    • E
      Elizabeth HarrisonSep 3, 2025
If you're not getting a spark at the pilot burner of your Napoleon Gas Heater, check that the wire is connected to the push button ignitor and that the push button ignitor is tightened. If the wire insulation is broken or frayed, replace the wire. If the ceramic insulator on the electrode is cracked or broken, replace the electrode. If problems persist, replace the push button ignitor.

Why does the pilot light go out when I release the gas knob on my Napoleon GVF36N Indoor Fireplace?
    • C
      carolbrownSep 18, 2025
If the pilot light goes out when you release the gas knob on your Napoleon Indoor Fireplace, it's likely because the gas valve has an interlock device. This device prevents the pilot burner from lighting until the thermocouple has cooled down. To resolve this, allow approximately 60 seconds for the thermocouple to cool before attempting to light the pilot again.

    • S
      Steven WadeSep 8, 2025
If your Napoleon Gas Heater is over-fired or under-fired, check the inlet and outlet pressure readings. The inlet pressure can be checked by turning screw (A) counter-clockwise 2 or 3 turns and then placing pressure gauge tubing over the test point. Check with burner operating on 'HI'. The gauge should read 7” (minimum 4.5”) water column for natural gas or 13” (11” minimum) water column for propane. The outlet pressure can be checked the same as above using screw (B). Check with burner operating on 'HI'. Gauge should read 3.5” water column for natural gas or 10” water column for propane. After taking pressure readings, be sure to turn screws clockwise firmly to reseal. Do not over torque. Leak test with a soap and water solution.
