Good Read Tone
The good read tone is the sound that is produced when an item is scanned and accepted
by the scanner. In installations where the checkstand and operators are close together, it
is advantageous to alter the sound of the good read tone on each scanner. This permits
each operator to distinguish their good read tone from that of nearby scanners operating
at the same time.
