How to Reboot or Power Down an NEC SV8100 System
Please follow the guide below for instructions on how to reboot or power down an NEC SV8100
System.
Power Button
The power switch is located on the front of the SV8100 chassis to the left hand side.
The SV8100 can support up to a total of 4 Chassis. If you have more than one chassis then they
must be turned off and on again in a certain order. Please see image below of what the system
will look like it if it is a standalone system or if there are multiple chassis.
Power switches are located in the same location for all Chassis’.
Reboot/Power Down for Single Chassis System
In the event of a reboot or complete power down, if you only have a single chassis, please
follow the instructions below.
1. Press the power switch to the off position
2. The system will power down, leave the system powered off if required (Due to electrical
work being carried out)
3. Alternatively, count to 10 and then press the power switch back to the on position
4. The system should be up and operational within 5 minutes.
Reboot/Power Down for 2 Chassis System
In the event of a reboot or complete power down, if you have 2 chassis’, please follow the
instructions below.
