Draw
desired
number
of
threads
from
the
fabric
to
be
hemstitched
and
commence sewing,
making
sure

the needle bites
alternately
close

edge

undrawn
side
of fabric
and
then
into
the
space
where

threads
have
been
drawn
(Fig. 46).
After
stitching on one side
of
the
drawn
space
has
been finish-
ed,
repeat
same
procedure
